YBO - In response to Directive No. 10 dated March 25, 2025, issued by the Prime Minister on promoting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Yen Bai Province has set a target of establishing at least 5,000 enterprises by the end of 2030.

YBO - The project titled “Emergency International Aid to Support People in Overcoming the Consequences of Storm No. 3 and Its Aftermath” (hereinafter referred to as “the Project”) is a non-refundable aid program funded by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). Implemented in Yen Bai Province since December 2024, the Project has delivered tangible results, helping residents recover from disaster-related challenges and stabilize their lives and production activities.

YBO - Recently in Hanoi, Vinacore International Consulting, Services and Trading joint Stock Company, in collaboration with the Employment Service Center under the Department of Home Affairs of Yen Bai Province, organized a departure ceremony for 14 workers from Yen Bai to work in Japan under a placement program managed by Yamazaki Vietnam Co., Ltd.

YBO - In 2025, Yen Bai Province is prioritizing the implementation of labour export consulting activities, vocational training in combination with foreign language education, and support programs aimed at facilitating overseas employment for local workers.

YBO - To ensure the seamless implementation of administrative procedure (TTHC) control, execution, and resolution for citizens and businesses—especially in agencies, units, and localities undergoing mergers or new establishments—the Chairman of the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee has mandated that relevant authorities promptly develop, issue, or submit for approval the necessary legal documents. These documents should amend, supplement, or repeal existing regulations related to administrative procedures that need adjustment due to new functions, tasks, and powers.

YBO - The Olympic Run for Public Health will take place at 8:00 AM on March 23, 2025, at the August 19 Square in Yen Bai City. This event aims to encourage people from all walks of life to engage in physical exercise and sports, in response to the movement “The Entire Population Exercises Following President Ho Chi Minh’s Example” and the campaign “Health for Career and National Defense” among the younger generation. The run contributes to improving public health for studying, working, production, and national construction and defense.

YBO - Having a solid house to protect their family from natural disasters, heavy rain, and storms is the dream of every household. For impoverished and near-poor families struggling with housing, this dream is even more urgent. However, due to poverty and the high cost of construction, many have continuously postponed making it a reality.

YBO - Yen Bai Province offers loans of up to 100 million VND per person to cover labor export expenses-an exceptional priority policy that enables young people in this mountainous region to overcome poverty and even transform their lives by achieving financial prosperity.

In 2024, the healthcare sector in Yen Bai Province recorded over 95% patient satisfaction with medical services.

By 2025, Tran Yen District aims to achieve a 71.2% happiness index among its residents. This includes a 60.8% satisfaction rate with life, a 78.8% satisfaction rate with average life expectancy, and a 67.3% rating for environmental conditions.

YBO - To further enhance the quality of the national standard school system in the direction of standardization and modernization, thereby improving education and training quality and contributing to comprehensive and fundamental reforms in accordance with Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW, dated November 4, 2013, of the 8th Conference of the 11th Central Committee.

YBO - Implementing digital transformation across three pillars-digital government, digital economy, and digital society-Van Yen District has achieved full electronic authentication for all transactions on the Provincial Public Service Portal and the district and commune-level "one-stop" electronic information system.

YBO - In 2025, Yen Bai Province will continue to maintain and enhance the quality of education universalization across all 168 communes, wards, and townships. This includes ensuring universal preschool education for five-year-old children, sustaining level-3 universal primary education in all localities, and achieving level-1 and level-2 universal lower secondary education province-wide. Additionally, level-3 universal lower secondary education will be maintained in 115 out of 168 communes, wards, and townships.

YBO - In 2025, the province has set a target to create employment for 20,000 workers, with a trained labor rate reaching 70.2%. Of this, the proportion of workers receiving training for three months or longer and obtaining certificates or diplomas is expected to reach 40.1%. Additionally, Yen Bai aims to recruit and train 18,000 new vocational trainees and transition 7,000 workers from agricultural to non-agricultural sectors.

YBO - Yen Bai Province currently boasts more than 700 library models, including 17 family and lineage libraries, and over 690 community and school libraries.

YBO - In 2024, Yen Bai province sent 114 workers to South Korea under the Work Permit Program for foreign workers and the pilot program for sending seasonal workers to South Korea, which is part of the cooperative efforts between localities of the two countries.

YBO - Yen Bai City aims to complete 56 targets outlined in its Digital Transformation Plan for 2025. The city has committed to mobilizing all available resources and implementing synchronized solutions under the motto: “Innovation, Creativity, Determination, Discipline, Efficiency.”

YBO - A recent survey revealed that in 2025, 406 workers in Van Yen District are seeking loans for overseas employment, amounting to a total of 26.6 billion VND.

YBO - As of November 2024, Yen Bai Province successfully facilitated overseas contractual employment for 647 workers.

YBO - Focusing on deploying solutions for telecommunications infrastructure to serve digital transformation, Yen Bai Province has successfully invested in fixed broadband network infrastructure for all its communes, wards, and towns. Notably, the province has eliminated mobile signal blind spots for 3G and 4G networks in its remote villages, having completed the removal of 39 dead zones and extended 3G and 4G coverage throughout these areas.

YBO - In the 2024 - 2025 school year, Mu Cang Chai is focusing on advancing the "Digital School" initiative, implementing AI technology across educational activities, and applying a variety of teaching methods, including online, hybrid, and inter-level, inter-school teaching formats tailored to the region’s practical needs.

YBO - A recent survey was conducted with 1,854 young people from Yen Bai City, Nghia Lo Town, and the districts of Tran Yen, Van Yen, Luc Yen, and Van Chan, using both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

YBO - As a Hmong woman born and raised in the challenging land of Tram Tau, Specialist Doctor Thao Thi Nu was determined to pursue her education and realize her dream of providing healthcare to her community.

YBO - Recently, Yen Bai province has faced concerning reproductive health statistics, with the pregnancy rate among women aged 15-19 reaching 15.5% in Mu Cang Chai district and 9.6% in Van Chan district. Home births remain prevalent, with 63.1% occurring in Mu Cang Chai and 13.5% in Van Chan.
