In recent years, the development of family, lineage, and school libraries has significantly contributed to fostering an early and sustainable reading habit among children. These libraries have ignited a passion for reading, a respect for knowledge, and a spirit of self-education and independent learning. Across the province, there are 17 family and lineage library models, with 10 located in Yen Bai City, 5 in Tran Yen District, and 2 in Van Chan District. Additionally, there are over 690 community and school library models.

By 2025, the province plans to hand over 32 additional libraries under Project 6 to districts, meeting the goals set for the 2021–2025 period. This includes 9 libraries in Luc Yen, 8 in Tran Yen, 6 in Yen Binh, 7 in Van Yen, and 2 in Van Chan.

These efforts have sparked a passion for reading, a respect for knowledge, and an eagerness for independent learning within the community.

These library models provide a valuable cultural reading space for officials, civil servants, students, and residents, offering a wealth of useful knowledge across various fields. They contribute to encouraging and cultivating a reading culture within the community, while also celebrating the value and emphasizing the importance of books in social life. Moreover, they help elevate the cultural and intellectual pursuits of the people in Yen Bai.
