
YBO - “Rural market” - a name that sounds so dear, familiar, and simple, never distant to anyone, in any region across Vietnam. Yet, each rural market in every land brings something new and unique that exists only in that place.

YBO - In the context of deepening digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a key technology, opening up new ways of working and supporting people across various essential fields. Recognizing the benefits that this technology offers, Yen Bai Province has encouraged government officials, civil servants, public employees, workers, and businesses to apply AI in their professional tasks and business operations. This move is considered a crucial step for Yen Bai to seize the opportunities brought by the technological revolution and gradually achieve comprehensive digital transformation.

YBO - The agricultural sector is currently facing numerous challenges, including climate change, the dominance of market economies, and unresolved issues such as pesticide residues and antibiotics in livestock farming. As a result, green agriculture has become a prevailing trend, both nationwide and specifically in Yen Bai Province.

In the context of a robust economic recovery, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) continue to affirm their role as the "backbone" of the economy. Recognizing this vital role and proactively institutionalizing major central directives, Yen Bai Province is gradually creating a favorable environment and providing genuine support to help SMEs develop rapidly and sustainably, thereby contributing significantly to the province’s comprehensive socio-economic development.

The “All People Unite to Build a Cultural Life” movement in Tran Yen District has gone beyond slogans, gradually transforming into tangible and sustainable values in the lives of the people. As such, the movement has become a cohesive force within the community and a driving force for development.

Yen Bai Province aims to achieve an average annual growth rate of 10% to 12% in the private sector by 2030, and to have at least 6,000 enterprises registered within the province.

In recent years, the movement to build “Cultural Standard Agencies, Units, and Enterprises” and “Agencies and Units with Cultural Lifestyles” has received significant attention from Tran Yen District. To date, it has become a routine practice in most agencies and units, with the district maintaining a rate of 98.6% of agencies, units, and enterprises meeting cultural standards.

YBO - Recently, Yen Bai Province has strengthened its cooperation between vocational education institutions and leading enterprises in Hai Phong through the signing of cooperation agreements. In cooperation on employment consulting, job referral, and labor supply with enterprises in Hai Phong City, Yen Bai Province has connected and recruited over 1,200 workers to work at businesses based in Hai Phong.

YBO - In 2025, Yen Bai Province aims to provide vocational training for at least 4,000 rural workers, focusing on increasing the proportion of trained workers who receive certification. The province is also adding new and specialized vocational programs to attract more rural laborers to vocational training.

YBO - Identifying mulberry cultivation and silkworm rearing as key sectors in agricultural development, Tran Yen District has recently focused on actively transforming its mulberry and silkworm production areas to enhance product value. Despite significant damage caused by Storm No. 3 in 2024, Tran Yen has set out multiple solutions to achieve its goal of cultivating 1,200 hectares of mulberry by the end of 2025.

YBO - Amid growing consumer demand for transparency in product information, especially regarding agricultural products, traceability through barcodes and QR codes is considered an effective solution to ensure consumer confidence while also preventing commercial fraud.

Thanks to the development of unique and attractive tourism products across its key tourism areas, Yen Bai Province welcomed over 9 million tourist arrivals during the 2021–2025 period, including nearly 800,000 international visitors. Tourism revenue reached VND 7,189 billion, with an average annual growth rate of 32.7%.

YBO - In an effort to effectively develop tourism based on its natural and cultural resources, Yen Bai Province has recently focused on promoting and selectively showcasing its potential and strengths. The province has placed particular emphasis on infrastructure investment, especially in key tourism areas, to attract and invite investors.

YBO - In recent years, the movement of physical training and sports in Yen Bai Province has seen vibrant and rapid development, spreading widely throughout the local communities. Mass sports have flourished, and the number of people regularly participating in physical exercise and sports has steadily increased. Ethnic sports and traditional folk games continue to be preserved and promoted.

YBO - In recent years, Yen Bai has made significant and comprehensive progress in building local culture and promoting human development, contributing effectively to the province’s sustainable growth. These achievements have also enhanced the efficiency of State management in the field of culture amid the challenges of a market-oriented economy and international integration.

YBO - As one of the first provinces nationwide to launch the “AI for Everyone” model, Yen Bai has now widely implemented the program across agencies, units, and localities, yielding significant results.

In the first five months of 2025, a total of 366 workers from Yen Bai Province have gone abroad to work, reaching 31.3% of the year’s target.

YBO - From 2021 to May 2025, Yen Bai Province has sent a total of 866 workers to Japan under official labor cooperation programs, through bilateral memorandums of understanding and intergovernmental agreements.

YBO - As of now, Yen Bai Province has a total of 273 OCOP (One Commune One Product) items certified, including 25 products rated 4 stars and 248 rated 3 stars.

YBO - Since the beginning of the year, Van Yen District has recorded 90 individuals participating in overseas labor programs. Among them, 45 workers were sent to Japan, 7 to South Korea, 36 to Taiwan, and 2 to Qatar. This makes Van Yen the locality with the highest number of overseas laborers in the province as of early 2025.

YBO - Since the beginning of 2025, the implementation of a range of coordinated measures has enabled Yen Bai Province to achieve positive outcomes in the disbursement of public investment capital. Notably, the province ranks among the 35 provinces and cities with disbursement rates higher than the national average.

YBO - Over the five-year period from 2021 to 2025, Yen Bai Province has created jobs for 110,339 workers. Of these: 56,393 were employed through socio-economic development programs, 11,907 accessed loans from the National Employment Fund, 2,886 worked abroad under labor export programs, and 39,153 were supplied to out-of-province employers.

YBO - To affirm the importance and values of reading culture in enhancing access to information, knowledge, and igniting the aspiration to contribute among the young generation in Yên Bái, the province launched the contests “Family Reading – Developing a Family Bookshelf of Love and Connection” and “Yên Bái Reading Culture Ambassador 2025.”

YBO - After seven years of implementing Project No. 11 of the Provincial Party Committee on “Building and nurturing a source of young officials, female officials, and ethnic minority officials under the management of the Provincial Party Standing Committee through 2030, with orientation toward 2035,” Yen Bai province has to date rotated, transferred, or appointed a total of 164 officials. Among these, there were 81 young officials, 34 female officials, and 49 ethnic minority officials.

YBO - To meet the labor demands of enterprises, Yen Bai province has proactively implemented various measures to develop and improve the quality of its workforce. Particular attention has been given to vocational training linked with job creation and labor restructuring, contributing to social welfare and accelerating the province’s industrialization process. These efforts align with Resolution No. 29-NQ/TU dated February 24, 2021, issued by the 19th Provincial Party Executive Committee on sustainable, efficient, and environmentally friendly industrial development in Yen Bai during the 2021–2025 period.
