YBO - The Yen Bai Provincial People’s Committee has issued Decision No. 2502/QĐ-UBND, announcing new and abolished administrative procedures in preventive healthcare under the authority of the provincial Department of Health. The decision takes effect on December 15, 2024.

Sending their concerns and wishes to the 21st Session of the Provincial People's Council, term XIX, 2021-2026, voters in Yen Bai province expect the Provincial People's Committee and relevant authorities to come up with effective solutions that address the legitimate wishes and expectations of voters and the public.

In recent years, Van Chan District has effectively implemented various livestock support programs and projects at both the provincial and district levels, encouraging farmers to invest confidently in expanding their livestock operations.

The total committed funding amounts to over 12.8 million USD, with an estimated disbursed value of nearly 2.4 million USD across the 45 projects and initiatives.

YBO - The total capital of the Farmers’ Support Fund (HTND) in Yen Bai Province has reached nearly VND 38 billion. Of this, over VND 7 billion comes from funds entrusted by the Vietnam Farmers' Union, while provincial and district-level funds account for over VND 30 billion. Currently, these funds are providing loans to 760 farmer households for production and business development.

YBO - The People’s Committee of Tran Yen District recently coordinated efforts to provide consultation and support for workers seeking employment abroad under contractual agreements. In 2024, a total of 95 individuals from the district registered for long-term labor export to international markets.

YBO - In 2024, Yen Bai Province's export value is estimated to reach 423 million USD, reflecting a 19.3% increase year-on-year and achieving 100.8% of the annual plan. Key export products include processed stone products, tea, garments, and rabbit-derived leather goods.

Yen Bai Province is home to 37 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a total registered capital of USD 420.7 million (approximately 10,109 billion VND) from investors originating from 11 countries and territories.

YBO - To enhance digital transformation efforts in educational institutions, Yen Bai Province has implemented school management software in 410 out of 442 schools, accounting for nearly 93%.

YBO - At the 11th Vietnam-China Economic Corridor Cooperation Conference of five provinces and cities, Ngo Hanh Phuc, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai Province, expressed the province's desire to strengthen cooperation with other provinces and cities to carry out collaborative activities in all areas that are in-depth, effective, and practical, aiming to become an official member of the Vietnam-China Economic Corridor.

YBO - The top 25 outstanding solutions from over 200 authors and author groups were honored at the closing ceremony and award presentation of the 11th Provincial Technical Innovation Contest of Yen Bai for the 2023-2024 period.

As of now, Yen Bai Province boasts 1,493 cultural houses, with 4 out of 23 wards and townships achieving the status of *civilized urban areas* (accounting for 17%).

The SPRINT project aims to improve the socio-economic welfare of ethnic minority women in Yen Bai Province. Running from 2024 to 2029, the project is funded by a non-refundable ODA budget of 9.75 million Canadian dollars.

Since the beginning of the year, Yen Bai Province has provided employment for over 20,900 workers, achieving 104.5% of its annual target. Notably, nearly 7,500 workers have transitioned from agricultural to non-agricultural sectors, surpassing the target at 107%.

The Swiss Ambassador to Vietnam, Thomas Gass, reaffirmed Switzerland's commitment to supporting Yen Bai Province in addressing the aftermath of natural disasters and collaborating on climate change response initiatives in the coming period.

In addition to recruiting teachers according to the allocated quota, Tran Huy Tuan, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Yen Bai Province, urged the province's education sector to rationally allocate teaching staff between lowland and highland areas, among schools, and across subjects. He proposed addressing the shortage of English and IT teachers through a combination of in-person and online teaching while advancing smart education via digital transformation.

In the first nine months of 2024, Yen Bai Provincial Library served 129,985 readers both onsite and online, with 55,388 accessing services through digital platforms.

The safe green rice production model at the Hoa Lua Cooperative Group in Muong Lai Commune, Luc Yen District, adheres to the "5 No" criteria: no herbicides, no molluscicides, no chemical pesticides, no chemical fertilizers, and no growth stimulants.

YBO - The Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs of Yen Bai Province, in collaboration with Yen Bai Vocational College, Tourist, Trade and Labour Export joint Stock Company, and Thinh Long Group, recently held a meeting with workers preparing to go abroad for contractual employment.
