Yen Bai Cooperative Alliance Supports Four Units Through Industrial Promotion

YBO - In 2024, the Yen Bai Provincial Cooperative Alliance, in collaboration with the Industrial Promotion Center under the Department of Industry and Trade, provided support to four units with a total funding of VND 676 million for the purchase of machinery and equipment used in oolong tea production, veneer manufacturing, bamboo shoot processing, and green tea production.

The specific allocations were as follows: Tan Thinh General Services Cooperative (Van Chan district) received VND 187.2 million, Hoang Tung Agricultural and Forestry Product Processing Cooperative (Yen Binh district) received VND 166.4 million, Yen Thanh joint Stock Company (Yen Binh district) received VND 176.8 million, and Pung Luong Agricultural Services Cooperative (Mu Cang Chai district) received VND 145.6 million.

Additionally, 65 projects in Yen Bai are currently utilizing funds from the National Employment Fund, the Yen Bai Cooperative Development Support Fund, and the Vietnam Cooperative Development Support Fund, with a total capital of VND 40.629 billion.

The units benefiting from preferential loans have effectively used these funds to expand production and business activities, with no bad debts or overdue payments, while also creating over 100 new local jobs.

In 2024, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance also supported the establishment of five cooperative models linked to value chains, provided consulting services for the development of OCOP (One Commune One Product) applications for nine products in compliance with regulations, assisted in the reassessment of two OCOP-certified products, and promoted over 500 OCOP and regional specialty products from cooperatives, cooperative groups, and member enterprises at exhibitions, fairs, and conferences both within and outside the province.
