In 2025, the Prime Minister allocated Yen Bai a total public investment capital plan of nearly VND 4.3 trillion. The total capital plan allocated by the province amounts to nearly VND 5.5 trillion. As of now, Yen Bai has completed the allocation of 100% of the capital plan to relevant units and projects.

To date, the province has disbursed over VND 850 billion, reaching nearly 16% of the annual plan. Although this is lower than the same period in 2024, the disbursement rate for the capital directly assigned by the Prime Minister stands at 18.8%, surpassing the national average and placing the province 15th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

However, the disbursement process continues to face challenges, particularly in site clearance. Many projects are being implemented in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions, affecting construction progress.

Aiming to achieve 100% disbursement of the allocated capital, the People’s Committee of Yen Bai Province is intensifying its directive efforts. Project management units are required to expedite construction progress, proactively manage disbursement and payment procedures, and prioritize contractors demonstrating good progress and key infrastructure projects.

Additionally, the province continues to review and adjust the capital allocation plan to ensure flexibility and efficiency, while addressing obstacles in land clearance. It is also preparing all necessary conditions to promptly allocate supplementary central budget funds for national target programs in 2025, once approved by the Prime Minister.
