YBO - Since 2021, Yen Bai province has approved investment proposals for 21 projects in the service and tourism sector, with a total registered capital of over VND 3,170 billion and USD 3.2 million.

In recent years, service and tourism activities in the province have received increasing attention and are gradually becoming a key economic sector. Tourism infrastructure has been progressively invested in and upgraded, with numerous hotel, homestay, and eco-resort projects developed in harmony with nature and local culture.

Localities across the province have essentially formed distinctive tourism products and destinations recognized at regional and national levels, such as Mu Cang Chai, Suoi Giang, and Thac Ba Lake.

Currently, many domestic and international corporations and investors are conducting research and surveys to implement tourism projects in the districts of Yen Binh, Mu Cang Chai, Van Chan, Tran Yen, and the town of Nghia Lo. These include TH Group, Sungroup, APEC, and Flamingo Holding Group.

Through the implementation of tourism promotion programs and campaigns, Yen Bai has successfully showcased its unique destinations and tourism offerings, attracting both domestic and international visitors. These activities have contributed to creating livelihoods for local people and promoting the province’s socio-economic development.

In addition, the province has also focused on improving the quality of tourism business operations. Since 2021, over 600 tourism service businesses and households have received training in tourism knowledge and skills. More than 20 training courses have been held on various topics, including tour guiding, community-based tourism skills, foreign languages, hotel operations, and the management of tourist accommodation facilities.

In recent years, to preserve and promote traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities, Yen Bai Province has consistently directed and facilitated efforts by communes, villages, and individuals to maintain and promote their ethnic culture by encouraging the establishment of cultural clubs and performance teams.
