With the goal of "Turning Heritage into Assets," Nghia Lo Town prioritizes high-quality, branded tourism development, aiming for professionalism and modernity. To achieve this, the locality actively promotes and enhances the value of its recognized intangible cultural heritage. A notable milestone was reached in December 2024 when Nghia Lo inaugurated its Walking Street. This vibrant cultural space features performances by 14 folk culture and art clubs from various wards and communes, creating a unique attraction that captivates visitors.

In addition to preserving traditional customs, characteristic stilt-house architecture, traditional attire, and native languages, Nghia Lo has actively revived traditional crafts such as brocade weaving by the Thai and Muong ethnic groups, bamboo weaving, mattress making, and the crafting of ethnic musical instruments.

The town has also dedicated efforts to conserving numerous traditional festivals. As a result, the Han Khuong Festival has been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage, while Thai Xoe Dance has been inscribed by UNESCO as part of the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Additionally, the Xen Dong Ceremony has been designated as a national intangible cultural heritage, along with many other cultural values that are being preserved and promoted.

With strategic efforts to enhance its tourism brand, develop new tourism products, and integrate both tangible and intangible cultural heritage, Muong Lo – Nghia Lo continues to attract a growing number of visitors from Vietnam and abroad. In 2024, the town welcomed nearly 353,000 tourists, exceeding 110% of its target, including over 50,000 international visitors.
