Japan remains one of the top destinations preferred by local workers due to its high income potential, favorable working environment, and various support policies for returnees.

According to the Department of Home Affairs of Yen Bai Province, laborers sent to Japan primarily work in sectors such as manufacturing, construction, textiles and garments, food processing, and agriculture.

In addition to earning stable incomes, workers are exposed to modern vocational skills, industrial discipline, and a strong work ethic — key factors contributing to the development of a high-quality human resources pool for the province.

Notably, interns who complete their training programs in Japan on time are eligible for reintegration or start-up support ranging from 600,000 to 1,000,000 Japanese Yen (equivalent to VND 100–160 million).

Workers from Yen Bai Province have gone to Japan under employment contracts facilitated by Yamazaki Vietnam Co., Ltd.

Many returnees have successfully reintegrated into the domestic labor market, bringing back enhanced skills, professional conduct, and helping family members expand production or start businesses, thereby improving household income and contributing to sustainable poverty reduction.

In the time ahead, Yen Bai Province plans to strengthen its cooperation with Japan in various areas, including the establishment of a Japanese language training center at Yen Bai College and the development of a high-quality workforce in key sectors such as semiconductors, biotechnology, and automation.

This is regarded as a strategic investment in human resources to ensure the sustainable growth of labor export and to seize emerging opportunities from the new wave of Japanese investment in Vietnam in general and Yen Bai in particular.
