YBO - In recent years, medical examination and treatment activities in Yen Bai Province have seen significant improvements thanks to the adoption of digital transformation. This has gradually enhanced the quality of treatment and contributed to better public health outcomes.

As of now, 100% of medical examination and treatment facilities in Yen Bai have implemented healthcare services using chip-based Citizen Identification Cards (CCCD) and the VNeID application. Additionally, all provincial- and district-level medical facilities have introduced cashless payment systems through static QR code scanning and POS machines. These measures have facilitated easier and more convenient payment for medical expenses and other healthcare services for local residents.

Furthermore, the provincial health sector continues to maintain interconnectivity and digital signing of documents such as driver's health certificates, birth certificates, and death certificates via the national Health Insurance Assessment Portal as part of the Government's Project 06. To date, over 19,200 driver’s health certificates, nearly 14,000 birth certificates, and 73 death certificates have been digitized and uploaded.

The health sector has also made notable progress in the implementation of electronic prescriptions, with over 3 million prescriptions synchronized to the national system. In addition, efforts have been made to ensure the effective transmission of electronic data for healthcare routing management and health insurance assessment and reimbursement through the Vietnam Social Security's Health Insurance Assessment Portal.

Looking ahead, the provincial health sector will continue to expand the implementation and application of digital services and solutions to enhance public access to healthcare through digital platforms. This is expected to maximize efficiency in medical treatment, care, and health promotion for the population.
