Van Yen: 406 workers seek loans for overseas employment

YBO - A recent survey revealed that in 2025, 406 workers in Van Yen District are seeking loans for overseas employment, amounting to a total of 26.6 billion VND.

In recent years, Van Yen District has actively implemented plans for vocational training, job creation, and labor restructuring from agriculture to non-agricultural sectors. By the end of November 2024, the district successfully created jobs for 35 individuals, bringing the total number of newly employed workers to 2,680 - 99.3% of the annual target. Among these, 141 individuals were employed abroad, achieving 52.2% of the year's export labor target.  

The district also transitioned 1,002 workers from agricultural to non-agricultural jobs, exceeding the annual goal of 100.2%. In November alone, the district organized three vocational training courses for 90 participants: two sericulture courses in Dai Phac and Yen Phu communes, and one culinary arts course in Xuan Tam Commune.  
The review of financial support needs for overseas employment in 2025 identified 406 workers requiring loans for labor export, with a total loan demand of 26.6 billion VND.

In 2025, Yen Bai Province will continue to maintain and enhance the quality of education universalization across all 168 communes, wards, and townships. This includes ensuring universal preschool education for five-year-old children, sustaining level-3 universal primary education in all localities, and achieving level-1 and level-2 universal lower secondary education province-wide. Additionally, level-3 universal lower secondary education will be maintained in 115 out of 168 communes, wards, and townships.
