Among these, 96 individuals secured positions in South Korea, 260 in Japan, and 172 in Taiwan (China). 119 workers were employed in other markets, including Qatar, the Middle East, Russia, Germany, Romania, and Thailand.

100% of workers received comprehensive training to familiarize themselves with Vietnamese and host country labor laws, ensuring they understood their rights and obligations while living and working abroad.

In managing foreign labor within the province, Yen Bai approved labor use requests from 25 units and enterprises for foreign workers across four categories: managers, executives, specialists, and technical workers. This effort involved 143 job positions, with 278 work permits issued and three individuals receiving exemptions.

In 2024, the Yen Bai Provincial People's Council issued Resolution No. 45/2024 on July 11, 2024, outlining policies to support workers seeking employment abroad and students participating in international training programs.

These programs are facilitated through partnerships between local vocational education institutions and foreign colleges and universities for the 2024–2026 period. Additionally, the Provincial People's Committee launched a comprehensive plan to send workers from Yen Bai abroad for employment during 2024–2030.

This marks the province's first formal strategy focused on promoting overseas labor opportunities. The initiative highlights Yen Bai's commitment to enhancing its workforce's skills and creating pathways for international professional experiences.

The proposal aims to send 10,000 workers abroad by 2030, with over 1,400 workers annually. In its initial phase from 2024 to 2026, the target is to send 3,000 workers, followed by 7,000 workers from 2027 to 2030.

This initiative reflects Yen Bai's determination to create international opportunities for its workforce, fostering economic growth and professional development.
