YBO - To further enhance the quality of the national standard school system in the direction of standardization and modernization, thereby improving education and training quality and contributing to comprehensive and fundamental reforms in accordance with Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW, dated November 4, 2013, of the 8th Conference of the 11th Central Committee.

YBO - Implementing digital transformation across three pillars-digital government, digital economy, and digital society-Van Yen District has achieved full electronic authentication for all transactions on the Provincial Public Service Portal and the district and commune-level "one-stop" electronic information system.

YBO - In 2025, Yen Bai Province will continue to maintain and enhance the quality of education universalization across all 168 communes, wards, and townships. This includes ensuring universal preschool education for five-year-old children, sustaining level-3 universal primary education in all localities, and achieving level-1 and level-2 universal lower secondary education province-wide. Additionally, level-3 universal lower secondary education will be maintained in 115 out of 168 communes, wards, and townships.

YBO - In 2025, the province has set a target to create employment for 20,000 workers, with a trained labor rate reaching 70.2%. Of this, the proportion of workers receiving training for three months or longer and obtaining certificates or diplomas is expected to reach 40.1%. Additionally, Yen Bai aims to recruit and train 18,000 new vocational trainees and transition 7,000 workers from agricultural to non-agricultural sectors.

YBO - Yen Bai Province currently boasts more than 700 library models, including 17 family and lineage libraries, and over 690 community and school libraries.

YBO - In 2024, Yen Bai province sent 114 workers to South Korea under the Work Permit Program for foreign workers and the pilot program for sending seasonal workers to South Korea, which is part of the cooperative efforts between localities of the two countries.

YBO - Yen Bai City aims to complete 56 targets outlined in its Digital Transformation Plan for 2025. The city has committed to mobilizing all available resources and implementing synchronized solutions under the motto: “Innovation, Creativity, Determination, Discipline, Efficiency.”

YBO - A recent survey revealed that in 2025, 406 workers in Van Yen District are seeking loans for overseas employment, amounting to a total of 26.6 billion VND.

YBO - As of November 2024, Yen Bai Province successfully facilitated overseas contractual employment for 647 workers.

YBO - Focusing on deploying solutions for telecommunications infrastructure to serve digital transformation, Yen Bai Province has successfully invested in fixed broadband network infrastructure for all its communes, wards, and towns. Notably, the province has eliminated mobile signal blind spots for 3G and 4G networks in its remote villages, having completed the removal of 39 dead zones and extended 3G and 4G coverage throughout these areas.

YBO - In the 2024 - 2025 school year, Mu Cang Chai is focusing on advancing the "Digital School" initiative, implementing AI technology across educational activities, and applying a variety of teaching methods, including online, hybrid, and inter-level, inter-school teaching formats tailored to the region’s practical needs.

YBO - A recent survey was conducted with 1,854 young people from Yen Bai City, Nghia Lo Town, and the districts of Tran Yen, Van Yen, Luc Yen, and Van Chan, using both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

YBO - As a Hmong woman born and raised in the challenging land of Tram Tau, Specialist Doctor Thao Thi Nu was determined to pursue her education and realize her dream of providing healthcare to her community.

YBO - Recently, Yen Bai province has faced concerning reproductive health statistics, with the pregnancy rate among women aged 15-19 reaching 15.5% in Mu Cang Chai district and 9.6% in Van Chan district. Home births remain prevalent, with 63.1% occurring in Mu Cang Chai and 13.5% in Van Chan.

YBO - On the morning of October 22, at the Provincial Youth Activity Center, the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Union of Youth Associations held a meeting to honor outstanding young intellectuals of Yen Bai Province in 2024.

YBO - On the afternoon of October 21, a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Office, led by Chief Advisor Tanaka Taketo, met with the Department of Health and Yen Bai General Hospital to discuss the implementation of activities for the "Strengthening the Capacity Development System for Healthcare Staff through Telemedicine" project.

With the viewpoint of placing citizens and businesses at the center as the main subjects and beneficiaries of digital transformation (DT), the entire political system in Yen Bai Province has actively engaged in implementing various specific and effective solutions to promote digital skills among residents and businesses. This initiative aims to enhance awareness and encourage community participation in the digital transformation process.

UNICEF has funded an emergency support project valued at 1 million USD for Yen Bai Province to address the damage caused by Typhoon No. 3, specifically targeting the needs of children and women.

YBO - In recent years, the Provincial Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF) and Search and Rescue (SAR) Department, the Provincial Police, has timely and effectively implemented FPFF and SAR tasks, contributing to ensuring public order and security, preventing, and minimizing fires and explosions across the province.

As of August 31, 2024, Yen Bai has digitized 292,368 out of 634,203 household registration data, achieving 46.1%.

YBO - The "green fence" movement in Luc Yen commenced in 2018. Recognising the environmental impact and high costs associated with using materials such as concrete and bricks for fences, some public personnel suggested the adoption of greenery instead.

YBO - The 11th Phu Dong Sports Festival of Yen Bai province from January 20-25 attracted over 1,500 athletes representing nine education and training departments and 28 units under the provincial Department of Education and Training.

YBO - The “Trade Union Tet Market” programme 2024 is being held nationwide via e-commerce platforms by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) from January 15 to February 7. It is among activities aimed at ensuring a merry Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday for all trade union members and workers.
