The programme advocates the application of information technology and cashless payment for purchases of consumer goods, which help workers buy quality goods at reasonable prices in a convenient and quick manner.

Under this programme, the VGCL has provided financial aid worth 300,000 VND (over 12 USD) per person via HD SAISON iCard, a credit card of the HD SAISON Finance Co. Ltd, for 201,000 workers with disadvantages and those with outstanding performance in their jobs and trade union activities nationwide.

In Yen Bai province, the provincial Labour Federation selected 2,000 workers for the programme. Each is given one electronic card free of charge to buy consumer goods under the programme.

When buying goods via Shopee and Tiki, workers will benefit from price and shipping cost discounts under the VGCL’s agreements with the two e-marketplaces. The VGCL also called on Lazada and Sendo, two other e-commerce platforms, to sell popular consumer goods and products meeting the programme’s criteria to serve workers.
