YBO - Project 8 on implementing gender equality and solving urgent problems for women and children under the national target programme on the socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas during the 2021-2030 period, has been implemented in 59 communes in eight districts, namely Tram Tau, Mu Cang Chai, Van Chan, Tran Yen, Yen Binh, Van Yen, and Luc Yen, and Nghia Lo township.

YBO - The educational sector of Yen Bai province is said to have recorded a “bumper harvest” with 33 prizes in the 2023 national examinations for excellent high school students (including two first-place prizes), three prizes higher than the target. More than half of the participating students won prizes, two of them chosen as candidates for the national teams to compete at international tests.

YBO - As a provincial-level hospital specialised in the management and treatment of tuberculosis and other lung diseases, the provincial Lung Hospital of Yen Bai has effectively conducted tuberculosis screening in the community to ensure timely treatment for those who are infected with the disease.
