Van Yen district takes the lead in Yen Bai excellent secondary school student contest

YBO - Van Yen district sent a team with 79 members to the provincial Excellent Student Contest 2022-2023 for junior high school students. The team competed in nine exams of Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, English and Informatics on March 2 and 3.

The contestants took the essay exams in subjects of Literature, History, Geography, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The English exam also included listening content, while the tests in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology had an extra practice part.

As many as 55 students in the Van Yen team won prizes, with two first prizes in Geography and Chemistry, 14 second prizes, 16 third prizes, and 23 consolation prizes in Mathematics, Informatics, Physics, Literature, History, Chemistry, and Geography.

The Van Yen team led the province in the numbers of prizes and prize winners at the contest.

The contest properly assessed students' abilities, promoted innovation in teaching and learning in educational institutions, and helped nurture talents./.
