YBO - The Fatherland Fronts at all levels in Yen Bai province mobilised a total of over 10 billion VND (402,000 USD) for the "For the Poor" Fund and socialisation resources in the first nine months of 2022 to support poor people in the province.

YBO - In the first nine months of 2022, Yen Bai had maintained the operations of 175 grassroots-level education promotion associations with more than 1,900 branches in hamlets, villages, residential areas and schools, and 435 in agencies, units and businesses, with a total of more than 227,500 members.

YBO - With entrusted loans, poor households and policy beneficiaries in Yen Bai have gained easier access to soft credit from the provincial branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policy (VBSP) to expand horticulture and husbandry, and get out of poverty.

YBO - In the 2022 – 2025 period, 29 more extremely difficult communes in Yen Bai province are expected to be recognised as new-style rural areas, meaning that there will be nearly 95,200 people, equivalent to about 11.4% of the population from these communes, being not supported by the state budget anymore to buy health insurance cards.

YBO - In the first half of 2022, Yen Bai province recorded 11,150 pregnant women with over 16,700 arrivals in medical establishments for examination. Among them, nearly 3,500 women received antenatal check-ups at least four times.

Nghia Lo township is home to more than 800 children under 16 years old, 60% of whom are from ethnic minority groups, and 700 are in especially difficult circumstances.
