YBO - On the evening of October 26 (26/10), in Mu Cang Chai District, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and President of the Yen Bai People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan, and Vice President of the Yen Bai People’s Committee, Ms. Vu Thi Hien Hanh, welcomed a delegation from the embassies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Algeria, Mongolia, and South Africa in Vietnam. This delegation was visiting Yen Bai Province for a series of activities.

This visit coincides with the 65th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan and Republic of Kazakhstan.
During their stay, the delegation, along with representatives from the Vietnam Sturgeon Group, toured Mu Cang Chai District and engaged in several activities.
At a reception dinner, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan introduced Yen Bai’s geographical, climatic, and scenic advantages, as well as the potential and strengths of the province. He expressed hope that during their visit, the embassy representatives would have an enjoyable experience and that the ambassadors and delegates would consider promoting the culture, landscapes, and people of Yen Bai to their citizens. He also expressed a desire to introduce and connect Yen Bai to international businesses interested in exploring investment opportunities, particularly in the province's key sectors.

Mr. Shovgi Mehdizada, Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Vietnam and Head of the Delegation, along with Mr. Kanat Tumysh, Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Vietnam, expressed their delight in visiting Yen Bai and appreciation for the warm welcome extended by local leaders.
They emphasized the significance of the visit, especially as it falls on the 65th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s diplomatic visit to Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, which laid the crucial groundwork for the three nations’ relationships.
The delegation conveyed admiration for Yen Bai’s stunning landscapes and the warmth of its people and expressed a desire to visit again and introduce partners and businesses to explore and invest in Yen Bai Province.
As part of their itinerary, the embassy delegation organized the Cuisine for Children - "Am thuc cho em” program for students of De Xu Phinh Semi-Boarding Primary and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities in Mu Cang Chai District.
Delegates enjoyed traditional cultural performances reflecting the rich heritage of the Mong ethnic group in Mu Cang Chai, such as the umbrella dance, Khen dance, scarf dance, and other folk performances that highlight the vibrant cultural spirit of the highland community.
At the culinary event, the delegation, along with the students, participated in a food program led by Mr. David Israphilov, Vice President of the World BBQ Association. The program included dishes such as hamburgers, BBQ grilling, and cocktails...
This memorable event left a lasting impression on the delegates, commemorating the 65th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan and fostering a diplomatic relationship of cooperation and development for the future.

The SPRINT project aims to improve the socio-economic welfare of ethnic minority women in Yen Bai Province. Running from 2024 to 2029, the project is funded by a non-refundable ODA budget of 9.75 million Canadian dollars.
Since the beginning of the year, Yen Bai Province has provided employment for over 20,900 workers, achieving 104.5% of its annual target. Notably, nearly 7,500 workers have transitioned from agricultural to non-agricultural sectors, surpassing the target at 107%.
The Swiss Ambassador to Vietnam, Thomas Gass, reaffirmed Switzerland's commitment to supporting Yen Bai Province in addressing the aftermath of natural disasters and collaborating on climate change response initiatives in the coming period.
In addition to recruiting teachers according to the allocated quota, Tran Huy Tuan, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Yen Bai Province, urged the province's education sector to rationally allocate teaching staff between lowland and highland areas, among schools, and across subjects. He proposed addressing the shortage of English and IT teachers through a combination of in-person and online teaching while advancing smart education via digital transformation.
