Important indicators show significant growth in 10 months

YBO - The Yen Bai People's Committee has renewed its leadership and direction methods, focusing on implementing key political tasks according to the set programmes and plans in the first ten months of 2023. They have also proactively carried out solutions to address difficulties and promote socio-economic development.

In the period, several key indicators showed significant growth compared to last year. These included the industrial production value as well as the total retail sales of goods and revenue from services, which were estimated to exceed 13.7 trillion VND (557.7 million USD) and 21.5 trillion VND, meeting 81.5% and 84.4% of the yearly plan and growing by 8.7% and 9.6% year-on-year, respectively.

Approximately 1.8 million tourists visited the province. Meanwhile, its total development investment capital hit some 16.5 trillion VND, equal to 82.5% of the yearly plan and representing an annual growth of 7.6%. The province also shipped 279.8 million USD worth of goods overseas, up 12% year-on-year.

At a regular meeting to evaluate the local socio-economic situation in October and launch tasks for November, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Huy Tuan requested that departments and localities focus on reviewing and directing the comprehensive completion of agro-forestry-fishery targets and tasks, accelerate new-style rural building progress, implement industrial restructuring measures, expand exports, and stimulate consumer demand.

It is also necessary to implement sustainable poverty reduction tasks as planned, complete charity house projects before the Lunar New Year festival, and intensify tourism stimulation activities in the remaining months of the year, he noted.
