Thac Ba lake festival to open on November 10

YBO - The 2023 festival to explore Thac Ba Lake National Scenic Spot and enjoy Dai Minh grapefruit will be held from November 10-17 with various activities.

Coming to Yen Binh on this occasion, visitors can not only admire the beautiful natural scenery like a black-and-white painting, enjoy dishes made from popular ingredients available from the mountains and forests, but also immerse themselves in cultural activities imbued with the ethnic identities of the Thac Ba Lake region.

This year, in addition to traditional annual activities, the district will also organise those associated with the national scenic spot of Thac Ba Lake and Dai Minh grapefruit such as jetski boat racing and many water games on the lake; and cultural activities on the basis of preserving and promoting the cultural identities of ethnic groups, and folk games. A workshop on preserving and promoting the value of the Tay ethnic cultural identity in Thac Ba lake area will be held within the framework of the festival.

On this occasion, the district will also organise a job fair and demonstration of preserving the ‘cau yen’ (peace praying) ceremony of the Cao Lan ethnic group, Tan Huong commune, and a ceremony receiving recognition certificates of local temples and pagodas./.
