Yen Bai holds training course on external information service

YBO - The Yen Bai provincial Department of Information and Communications recently held a training course on external information service, spokesmanship, and information provision for the press. The event, drawing more than 500 participants across the province, took place both in person and via teleconferencing.

Participants were provided with information about the world and regional situations, the factors affecting the national interests and security of Vietnam, the main content of the Prime Minister’s Directive No.07 on the enhancement of policy communication, along with implementation results, orientations, and tasks of policy communication for the coming time.

They also learned about the necessity of the Government’s issuance of Decree No.09 that regulates spokesmanship and information provision for the press at administrative agencies; some basic skills for crisis governance and communication governance amid crises; and the main content of the handbook on external information service, spokesmanship and information provision for the press, which was compiled and distributed by the Department of Information and Communications.

The course was a chance for the spokespersons and providers of information for the press at provincial-, district- and communal-level administrative agencies, as well as reporters and editors of local and central press agencies in Yen Bai to update themselves with new knowledge about the Party’s viewpoints and directions on external information service.

It also helped participants improve the skills of working with and replying to the press’s interviews, preventing and dealing with media crises, realising harmful information on the internet, and responding to fake news.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Huy Tuan personally presented support and gifts to workers facing hardships across Yen Bai Province.

Luc Yen District presents the provincial decision recognizing Dong Quan Commune as meeting NTM standards for 2024.

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.
