Yen Bai holds Vovinam - Karate championships in 2023

YBO - This year, the Yen Bai Vovinam - Karate championships drew 180 athletes of six Vovinam and eight Karate delegations from districts, townships and Yen Bai city as well as provincial departments and sectors.

Vovinam fighters competed in two categories of combat and technique combination, while Karate categories were divided by weight classes and ages, including male and female Kata and Kumite.

After three days of competition, 16 sets of medals were presented to Vovinam fighters and 18 others to Karate artists.

This was a chance for the locality to discover new talents for its Vovinam and Karate teams to prepare for national tournaments.

Luc Yen District presents the provincial decision recognizing Dong Quan Commune as meeting NTM standards for 2024.

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.
