30 scholarships presented to impoverished students in Yen Bai

YBO – As many as 30 scholarships worth 30 million VND (1,280 USD) were presented to impoverished students at the Yen Bai Centre for Social Work and Social Protection and Cao Pha primary semi-boarding ethnic minority school in Mu Cang Chai district in a recent ceremony held in the northern province of Yen Bai.

The event within the "Happy Noodle” programme was jointly organised by the provincial Department of Labour- Invalids and Social Affairs, the National Fund for Vietnamese Children, and the Acecook Vietnam joint Stock Company.

Since March 2023, the "Happy Noodle” programme has presented 1,025 cartons of noodles worth 133,672,000 VND to 682 children and people with disabilities at the two units in the localities.

The programme has helped the disabled to improve breakfasts with better nutrition while ensuring a good health condition and encouraging them to overcome difficulties.
