Van Yen district offers attractive tourism activities during upcoming holidays

YBO - To improve visitors' experiences and stimulate demand during the holidays of National Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labour Day (May 1) as well as the upcoming peak tourist season in summer, localities in Van Yen district will cooperate with businesses to organise special cultural and tourism activities, creating a highlight for this year's holiday.

Under the plan, the district directs Na Hau commune to hold a ceremony to kick off the summer tourism season 2023, along with cultural, art and sport activities such as folk games, village market of the Mong ethnic minority group and hiking for visitors to explore Na Hau Nature Reserve.

Quang Minh commune will hold a ceremony to announce a three-star OCOP tourism product of Minh Khai village community-based tourism cooperative group in combination with the tourism stimulus programme under the theme "Minh Khai Waterfall - Welcome Summer 2023".

Ngoi A commune will arrange activities for tourists to experience "Khe Cam waterfall in water pouring season" which is associated with Dao ethnic cultural identity on this occasion.

Mau A town will organise cultural, art, sports and culinary activities in its central square to serve local residents and visitors. Similar events will be held at the three-star Dai Phu An resort in residential group 10.

Van Yen district has been chosen by many tourists for its fresh air and beautiful scenery with many diverse and attractive events at tourist sites, along with the friendliness and hospitality of local people.

The district also has many beautiful landscapes, magnificent mountains, caves, waterfalls and primeval forests as well as places that are associated with the struggle for national liberation. Especially, with a lot of ethnic groups living together, Van Yen is preserving many unique cultural characteristics of ethnic minorities which are waiting for visitors to experience and discover.

Luc Yen District presents the provincial decision recognizing Dong Quan Commune as meeting NTM standards for 2024.

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.
