Yen Bai optimises tech app to better serve locals

YBO - The northern mountainous province of Yen Bai has officially introduced YenBai-S - an application to help connect authorities and people, tourists in an attempt to ensure satisfaction and happiness of all people in the community.

The multi-utility application is user-friendly, as users only need to download the app on smart phones to explore several services and utilities provided by State agencies or social organisations.

It currently provides 17 services including feedback system, notice, public service, digital market, traffic violation notifications, switchboard, healthcare, education, tourism, utility bills, postage and delivery, transportation services, and home technical services.

Besides, YenBai-S also integrates digital government applications such as handing complaints, email, electronic party member handbooks, and administrative document management.

By the end of March, there were more than 34,000 accounts installed, reaching nearly 90% of the total number of people aged 18 and over.

The system has received nearly 150 feedbacks, comments mainly in the social sector (48%), followed by traffic safety (32%), environmental issues (12%), infrastructure (10%) and other sectors (8%).

Over 80 comments were handled by functional agencies and units, reaching 57%. Besides, the provincial Smart Operations Centre has sent 38 notices on YenBai-S, the announcements were all warning information of the province to local residents, which are well received.

Although it has just been piloted in Yen Bai city, the YenBai-S application has gradually become an important foundation in the process of successfully building a digital administration and digital citizens and society in the province.
