Yen Bai is projected to welcome 2,150,000 tourists in 2024

In 2024, Yen Bai's tourism sector is expected to attract 2,150,000 visitors, reaching 26.4% of its annual plan and marking a 3% increase compared to the same period last year. Among them, international visitors are estimated at 270,000, achieving 90% of the target. Tourism revenue is projected at 1,790 billion VND, exceeding the plan by 19.3% and increasing by 4% year-on-year.

To achieve these results, the province has strengthened its efforts in tourism promotion and the integration of cultural heritage values. Yen Bai has enhanced its collaborations for promoting tourism within and outside the province, expanded regional partnerships, and advanced the development of new tourism products. It has also intensified promotional activities through media and digital platforms in line with the new service development objectives.  

The province printed 18,000 brochures introducing Yen Bai's tours and routes, completed the bilingual draft book "Yen Bai - The Heritage Road" for provincial approval, and published 2,262 articles promoting cultural and tourism events across websites and social media platforms. Efforts to integrate technology in promoting destinations and services have improved connections with domestic and international tourists.  

Yen Bai continues to enhance the quality of its tourism products, renew existing offerings, and introduce innovative and appealing experiences under the theme "New Products, New Styles, New Experiences." The focus is on maximizing regional potential and strengths.  

The province is also emphasizing wellness tourism linked to natural heritage and hot mineral springs in districts such as Van Yen, Van Chan, Nghia Lo, and Tram Tau. Additionally, Yen Bai is working to develop distinct tourism products tailored to market segments at specific times, advancing the concept of "four-season tourism."

As part of the implementation of the 2021–2025 National Target Programs (NTPs), Tran Yen District has disbursed over VND 70 billion as of the end of March 2025. Of this amount, nearly VND 56 billion came from the central government budget, while more than VND 13.5 billion was sourced from the local budget.
