Yen Bai implements over 200 provincial-level scientific projects

YBO - From 2016 to the present, Yen Bai Province has carried out more than 200 provincial-level scientific projects across six key fields.

Agriculture and forestry production, along with intellectual property, accounted for 120 projects, making up 60% of the total. Social sciences and humanities comprised 37 projects (18.5%), followed by information technology with 19 projects (9.5%), industrial and processing industries with 3 projects (1.5%), and disaster prevention with 1 project (0.5%). Other fields made up 20 projects, representing 10%.

Many of these scientific and technological initiatives, upon completion, have been embraced and applied by local residents and businesses. This has significantly contributed to the province's socioeconomic development. 

Notably, several scientific projects have been recognized for their originality and groundbreaking approaches in selecting research subjects, showcasing the creativity and pioneering efforts of the scientific sector in integrating modern advancements into practice. 

These achievements have bolstered the competitiveness of local products in the market, spurred socioeconomic growth, and supported environmental protection within the province.

As part of the implementation of the 2021–2025 National Target Programs (NTPs), Tran Yen District has disbursed over VND 70 billion as of the end of March 2025.
