Party’s 90th founding anniversary marked nationwide

In coordination with the Party Committee of Central Business Block and the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, co-organised an art programme in Hanoi on January 18 to mark the 90th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930-2020).

The event was attended by Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member and head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education.

The art programme featured elaborately staged musical and dance pieces, documentary films and reportage reenacting the three revolutionary stages of the Party, from its inception to leading the resistance war for national salvation to great victories as well as the building and protection of the socialist Vietnam.

The humanitarian messages celebrated the Party, Uncle Ho and the heroic Vietnamese people, provoking emotions about the glorious 90-year journey of the Party, the eternal values of an independent and self-reliant Vietnam rising in the support and affection of international friends.

* On the same day, Hai Phong city opened an exhibition on 90 years of the Party and the 2020 Hai Phong Spring Press Festival.

The press festival showcased nearly 300 photos, documents and artifacts and hundreds of spring publications that generally reproduced the glorious 90-year path of the Party leading the people to victoriously complete the struggle for national liberation and reunification, as well as in the current cause for national construction and protection.

The event is open to the public until February 4.

* As part of activities marking the 90th anniversary of the Party, a stele house was inaugurated in Tam Phuoc commune, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province on January 18, in commemoration of more than 100 fallen soldiers of the commune who laid down their lives during the resistance war against the French and US invaders, and the southwestern border protection war.

The facility was constructed on an area of nearly 1,000 square metres with a total funding of VND1.5 billion (US$64,610), donated by local officials, Party members, residents and businesses.

* A spring press festival was held in Nghe An province’s Quynh Luu district on Saturday, with 11 pavilions introducing press publications of Nghe An and 90 press and artistic photos taken by members of the Nghe An Press Photo Club.

At the event, the organising committee of Nghe An’s "Bua Liem Vang” press awards on Party building presented prizes to 26 winning press works, including six second prizes and eight third prizes.

The organising committee also offered gifts to 66 policy beneficial families, poor households and disadvantaged students who achieved excellent academic results in Quynh Luu district and Hoang Mai town. Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper presented three houses of gratitude worth VND100 million each to the needy households in the locality.

* The Standing Board of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee recently issued a decision on presenting the Party membership insignia to more than 2,600 Party members, with 73 receiving the 70-year Party membership insignia, 20 getting the 65-year insignia and 253 receiving the 60-year insignia.

In 2024, the total value of activities conducted by the Red Cross Society of Yen Bai Province exceeded 86 billion VND, benefiting 230,105 individuals.

Luc Yen District presents the provincial decision recognizing Dong Quan Commune as meeting NTM standards for 2024.

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.
