YBO - The 2025 “Echoes of Thac Ba Lake” Cultural and Sports Festival in Yen Binh District is scheduled to take place from April 18 to May 1, 2025.

The festival promises a vibrant and engaging array of cultural and sporting events designed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30) and the 139th International Workers’ Day (May 1).

As part of the festivities, the opening ceremony of the "Echoes of Thac Ba Lake” Cultural and Sports Festival will feature cultural exchange performances, folk dance showcases, and musical entertainment. The event will be held at 7:30 PM on April 26, 2025, at the Yen Binh District Cultural Center. From April 18 to May 1, a variety of activities will be organized, including water games at the Thac Ba Ecotourism Resort (operated by Thac Ba Tourism and Trading Joint Stock Company), sporting competitions across the district’s communes and townships, and discovery tours of the Thac Ba Lake scenic area. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore landmarks such as the Thac Ba Hydropower Plant, Thuy Tien Cave, traditional craft villages, historical and cultural relics, resort areas, and lakeside experiential tourism sites.

The "Echoes of Thac Ba Lake” Festival, along with its water-based entertainment activities, aims to promote the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and traditional sports of Yen Binh’s ethnic communities. Additionally, the event seeks to showcase the district’s outstanding agricultural products to both domestic and international visitors, thereby contributing to local economic development and boosting tourism revenue.
