YBO - In this summer-autumn crop, Yen Bai province is striving for a total grain output of 137,195 tonnes, including nearly 107,000 tonnes of rice to be harvested on 21,960 hectares.

Viet Hong commune of Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province, boasts favourable natural conditions for farming sturgeon. Making use of the potential, some local households have developed the farming of the cold-water fish in recent years and harvested initial success.

YBO - Luc Yen district authorities have organised a ceremony to receive certificates for using the trademarks of three local products granted by the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam (IPO) under the Ministry of Science and Technology.

YBO - The mountainous province of Yen Bai has a total natural land area of 689,268 ha, including 464,008 ha of forest land. With a forest coverage of 63%, the province is one of the six provinces with the largest forest coverage in the country.

YBO - In 2023, Tran Yen plans to have additional four communes completing the criteria of the new-style rural area building programme and two others finishing those for model new-style rural areas, thus fulfilling its target of having 50% of the total communes becoming advanced new-style rural areas.
