Pay Tai festival held in Yen Bai

Pay Tai is a traditional festival of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups. In Lam Thuong commune, Luc Yen district, in the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai, the festival this year was held on a large scale to promote the cultural values of local ethnic groups and to attract tourists.

Comrade Vu Thi Hien Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai Province and Chairwoman of the Provincial Appraisal Council, recently chaired a meeting to review nominations for the title of Artisan in the field of intangible cultural heritage for the third time, in 2024.
To enhance the preservation and promotion of the values of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in the area, the Department of Culture and Information of Tram Tau District has collaborated with the Center for Heritage and Tourism Management of Yen Bai Province to inventory 79 intangible cultural heritage assets across 11 communes in the district.
Recently, the New Rice Festival of Dong Cuong Temple took place at the National Historical and Cultural Site of Dong Cuong Temple, located in Dong Cuong Commune, Van Yen District, Yen Bai Province. Due to the ongoing priority of recovering from the aftermath of Tropical Storm No. 3, only the ceremonial part of the event was held, with no accompanying festivities.
Van Yen district plans to hold the second Cuisine Festival on April 27 – 28 with the theme "Culinary tastes of the land of cinnamon" at the district's square.
