Nearly 13,000 hectares of forest certified with FSC

YBO - In 2024, Yen Bai province plans to certify sustainable forests (FSC) for 22,550 hectares. However, by the end of September 2024, the province had only certified 12,914.9 hectares of sustainable forests (FSC), achieving 57.3% of the plan.

The Yen Bai Provincial School of Politics recently held a provincial-level scientific conference titled: "Orientation for the Rapid and Sustainable Development of Yen Bai Province Towards 'Green, Harmonious, Distinctive, and Happy Growth' – From Theory to Practice."
The project "Supporting the Community of Yen Bai Province in Recovery from Typhoon Yagi" (Yagi-YB Project) aims to assist residents of five flood-affected communes and wards in Yen Bai City and Tran Yen District in improving their environment and restoring livelihoods. It also seeks to enhance the capacity for community-based disaster risk management among local women, the young, and children.
