Yen Bai welcomes over 1 million visitors

YBO - Since the beginning of this year, Yen Bai has welcomed over 1.03 million visitors, equivalent to 69.1% of its yearly target and 129.5% of the goal set in the locality’s development scenario, representing a rise of 28.3% over the same period last year.

Of the total, the number of foreign tourists was 40,000, equivalent to 26.7% of the yearly target. Revenue from tourism activities was estimated at 830.8 billion VND (35.32 million USD), or 61.5% of the plan for the whole year, 120.6% of the amount in its growth scenario, representing an increase of 58.5% year on year.

The result is attributed to Yen Bai’s effective efforts to cooperate with neighbouring localities in tourism development and implement promotion programmes to popularise destinations and tourism products to domestic and foreign travelers, thus creating stable livelihood for locals./.

Hot spring tourism remains one of Tram Tau’s most distinctive attractions, drawing a large number of visitors each year.

Harnessing its potential and strengths in natural landscapes, culture, and people, Tram Tau district has developed and introduced a diverse range of tourism products, including community-based tourism, resort tourism, eco-tourism, and adventure tourism, attracting numerous domestic and international visitors for sightseeing and exploration.
