YBO - The 4th edition of the "Top 7 Impressive Vietnam" program, organized by Sai Gon Tiep Thi, has announced the results for the "Top 7 Most Impressive Scenic Destinations" category. Among the honored locations, Yen Bai has three sites: the Chi Pau Flower Hills on Ta Chi Nhu Peak (Tram Tau), the "Dinosaur Spine" in De Xu Phinh (Mu Cang Chai), and Thac Ba Lake (Yen Binh).

Ta Chi Nhu Peak

Ta Chi Nhu Peak, located in Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province, is known as the "Roof of Yen Bai,” standing at 2,979 meters above sea level. This destination is widely recognized for its stunning Chi Pau flower fields, which bloom in a vibrant purple hue along the trekking route to the summit. As visitors ascend, the flowers grow more densely and display richer shades of purple, with the most spectacular floral scenery found at the peak. The Chi Pau flowers bloom only once a year, from late autumn to early winter.

In De Xu Phinh commune, Mu Cang Chai district

The "Dinosaur Spine" in De Xu Phinh commune, Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province, has recently become a popular check-in spot for tourists. This rugged trail, perched on a high mountain ridge about 19 kilometers from Mu Cang Chai town, resembles the back of a giant dinosaur and attracts visitors eager to explore its dramatic landscape. It is also one of the best locations to admire the famous golden terraced rice fields of Mu Cang Chai during the harvest season.

Situated in Yen Binh and Luc Yen districts, Thac Ba Lake is one of Vietnam’s largest artificial lakes, covering approximately 20,000 hectares. Encircled by untouched hills and featuring over 1,300 green islands, the lake is often compared to "Ha Long Bay in the mountains."

Thac Ba Lake

Visitors to Thac Ba Lake can take boat tours, camp along its shores, or visit the Thac Ba Hydropower Plant. The lake is also home to impressive limestone caves, such as Thuy Tien Cave, Xuan Long Cave, and Bach Xa Cave, making it an attractive destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.
