
YBO - Right from the beginning of 2025, numerous key projects and constructions across Yen Bai province have been accelerated in implementation, completion, and handover for use, contributing to the successful achievement of the province’s socio-economic development goals and plans.

YBO - Recently, in Luc Yen district, the Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and the Project Management Board No. 1 held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line segment passing through Yen Bai province.
Between 2022 and 2024, Yen Bai Province implemented 54 scientific and technological initiatives in agriculture, forestry, and intellectual property, with a total budget exceeding VND 23 billion.

Currently, approximately 180 workers from Yen Bai Province are employed in the Middle East, primarily in construction, supermarket sales, mechanical engineering, and domestic work. Their employers provide accommodation and meals, as well as labor insurance in accordance with the regulations of the host countries.

YBO - With the guiding principle of "each year surpassing the previous year, each quarter exceeding the last, and each month improving upon the one before," Yen Bai continues to promote decentralization, enhance provincial competitiveness, and strive to rank among the top 30 provinces and cities in the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI). Additionally, the province aims to maintain its Satisfaction Index of Public Administration Services (SIPAS) within the top 10 nationwide. Efforts to drive digital transformation will continue, with the goal of keeping its Digital Transformation Index (DTI) in the top 15.

Since 2021, Yen Bai Province has allocated over 600 billion VND from its budget and socialized resources to implement digital transformation initiatives, focusing on information technology infrastructure and related projects.

YBO - As a mountainous province located deep inland, Yen Bai boasts significant potential for development. The province is rich in mineral resources with hundreds of mining sites, complemented by breathtaking natural landscapes. Additionally, Yen Bai has planned several concentrated commodity production zones.

YBO - According to the self-assessment results for the 2024 Digital Transformation Index, Yen Bai City achieved a total score of 909.5 out of 1,000 points based on the Digital Transformation Evaluation Index for provincial departments, agencies, districts, towns, and cities in Yen Bai Province.

YBO - In 2024, despite facing numerous challenges due to rising input material costs, Hoang Lien Son Technical Porcelain joint Stock Company successfully produced and distributed over 3,400 tons of insulating porcelain products of various types, achieving 112% of its annual plan.

YBO - With 36 distribution outlets across the province, Yen Bai Petroleum Company sold over 63,100 m³ of various fuel types in 2024, achieving total revenue of over 1 trillion VND, equivalent to 106% of its annual target.

YBO - In 2024, Nghia Lo Town developed seven new products meeting the 3-star OCOP standard and reevaluated seven products after three years of certification.

YBO - Yen Bai develops comprehensive transportation infrastructure, prioritizing projects that connect national highways with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway, regional linkage projects, and those connecting Yen Bai province with localities in the Northern Midlands and Mountainous region. The focus is on key projects and several important regional and inter-regional connecting roads. As of now, the transportation infrastructure system in Yen Bai has achieved significant progress.

YBO - The global Halal market is valued at approximately USD 5 trillion annually, with a strong demand for cinnamon and tea products. This presents significant export opportunities for Yen Bai Province.

YBO - In 2024, Yen Bai City achieved vocational training for 2,259 individuals, exceeding the target of 1,790 by 115%. Of this total, 578 people were trained at the college level, achieving 125% of the assigned target of 461.

YBO - To date, 100% of communes in Yen Bai have roads leading to their centers that are either asphalted or concreted, and 95.5% of villages have paved roads connecting to their centers.

YBO - The province also boasts 111 out of 150 communes certified as NTM, 37 communes as advanced NTM, and 11 as model NTM communes in November, 2024. Additionally, 254 villages and four district-level units have been recognized as model NTM villages.

YBO - Tay Bac jar wine stands out as one of the few 3-star OCOP-certified liquor products, with promising development potential. The owner of this production facility is veteran Nguyen Huu Chinh from Cau Khai Hamlet, Mau Dong Commune, Van Yen District.

YBO - These days, the atmosphere is bustling and lively across the citrus orchards in Chấn Thinh, Nghia Tam, and Tan Thinh communes. Farmers in Van Chan are delighted as their orange trees are producing a bountiful harvest, with prices rising between 3,000 to 7,000VND per kilogram for each type of orange.

YBO - LuxGroup Foundation, in collaboration with Green Dream Organization, recently held an event to plant over 2,000 trees in Vang Ngan Village, Suoi Quyen Commune, Van Chan District, Yen Bai Province.

YBO - Recognizing that increasing residents' income is a key goal in building new rural areas, Van Yen District has implemented various solutions to boost incomes.

YBO - As of November 2024, Yen Bai Province has paved 418.46 km of rural roads, exceeding the target of 400 km outlined in the Provincial Party Committee’s Action Program No. 188, achieving 104.6% of the plan.

YBO - Despite severe damages caused by Storm No. 3, Yen Bai Province's agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector is estimated to have achieved a growth rate of 5.63% in 2024, with several indicators showing significant increases.

YBO - Since the beginning of the year, Yen Binh district has seen the addition of 18 villages recognized as model rural villages, raising the district's total to 35 model villages, achieving 64.3% of the annual plan.

Leveraging its favorable climate and soil conditions, Mu Cang Chai District (Yen Bai Province) is prioritizing the development of agricultural models that apply advanced technologies to produce high-value goods.
