Yen Bai achieves 5.6% growth in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries

YBO - Despite severe damages caused by Storm No. 3, Yen Bai Province's agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector is estimated to have achieved a growth rate of 5.63% in 2024, with several indicators showing significant increases.
In 2024, Yen Bai is estimated to achieve a live meat production output of 80,000 tons, reaching 106.7% of the planned target; the total number of major livestock is expected to be 309,700 heads, achieving 97.1% of the planned goal. As of November 2024, Yen Bai Province has paved 418.46 km of rural roads, exceeding the target of 400 km outlined in the Provincial Party Committee’s Action Program No. 188, achieving 104.6% of the plan.
Since the beginning of the year, Yen Binh district has seen the addition of 18 villages recognized as model rural villages, raising the district's total to 35 model villages, achieving 64.3% of the annual plan.
