Yen Bai paves nearly 420 km of rural roads

YBO - As of November 2024, Yen Bai Province has paved 418.46 km of rural roads, exceeding the target of 400 km outlined in the Provincial Party Committee’s Action Program No. 188, achieving 104.6% of the plan.

Under the Rural Transportation Development Project, Yen Bai Province has achieved significant progress in improving its rural road infrastructure. The province has successfully cemented nearly 357 kilometers of roads and expanded an additional 21.45 kilometers of cement concrete road surfaces. Moreover, it has constructed 40.27 kilometers of new dirt roads, widened 40.86 kilometers of dirt road foundations, and built 263 drainage structures.

In recent years, Yen Bai has effectively utilized available funding, maximized resources, and promoted the principle of "State and people working together" to develop its rural transportation system.

Across the province, localities have expanded 21.45 km of cement concrete road surfaces, constructed 40.27 km of new dirt roads, widened 40.86 km of dirt road foundations, and built 357 drainage structures.

To date, Yen Bai Province has allocated over 546 billion VND for rural road construction projects. This includes more than 266 billion VND under the Rural Transportation Development Project, 7.32 billion VND from other funding sources, and over 272 billion VND from integrated funding through various programs and projects.

The province aims to exceed the targets set by the Rural Transportation Development Project by 2025, achieving over 5,860 km of paved rural roads out of a total 7,863 km, equivalent to 75% of the network. By 2030, Yen Bai plans to complete 100% of the rural road system’s paving.

Since the beginning of the year, Yen Binh district has seen the addition of 18 villages recognized as model rural villages, raising the district's total to 35 model villages, achieving 64.3% of the annual plan.

Thanks to favorable soil and climate, 1 hectare of Beef tomatoes grown in Nam Khat yields 50–70 tons of visually appealing and delicious fruit.

Leveraging its favorable climate and soil conditions, Mu Cang Chai District (Yen Bai Province) is prioritizing the development of agricultural models that apply advanced technologies to produce high-value goods.

Yen Binh District currently boasts over 5,564 hectares of natural forest and more than 36,712 hectares of planted forest, achieving a forest coverage rate of 54.76%.
