Vang Ngan Village plants 2,000 native tree saplings

YBO - LuxGroup Foundation, in collaboration with Green Dream Organization, recently held an event to plant over 2,000 trees in Vang Ngan Village, Suoi Quyen Commune, Van Chan District, Yen Bai Province.

During the event, more than 1,500 Chukrasia tabularis and 500 Parashorea chinensis wang hsie were planted in the headwater forest area of Suoi Quyen Commune. 100 local residents, including the elderly and children, joined hands in the planting effort.

These Chukrasia tabularis and Parashorea chinensis wang hsie are valuable native species, which not only have high economic potential but also contribute to improving forest cover, protecting soil, and conserving water resources.

Representatives from the Green Dream Organization provided detailed guidance to the community on planting and tree care techniques, ensuring that the saplings grow correctly and sustainably.

This event is part of LuxGroup Foundation’s sustainability campaign, aiming to offset carbon emissions, protect natural resources after natural disasters, and improve the living environment for the community.

LuxGroup Foundation is a non-profit organization under LuxGroup, established with the goal of protecting the environment, promoting sustainable development, and supporting communities. Since its inception, the foundation has carried out many meaningful activities, from reforestation and ocean cleanup to supporting educational and local development projects.

To date, 100% of communes in Yen Bai have roads leading to their centers that are either asphalted or concreted, and 95.5% of villages have paved roads connecting to their centers.

By November 2024, Yen Bai had 111/150 communes certified as meeting New Rural Standards (NTM), 254 villages and four district-level units were certified as achieving NTM status.

The province also boasts 111 out of 150 communes certified as NTM, 37 communes as advanced NTM, and 11 as model NTM communes in November, 2024. Additionally, 254 villages and four district-level units have been recognized as model NTM villages.
