Yen Bai welcomes over 1.5 million visitors so far this year

YBO - The northern province of Yen Bai has welcomed over 1.5 million visitors so far this year, 44.4% higher than planned, according to statistics from the province's Culture, Sport and Tourism Department.

The province’s tourism revenue topped 1.1 trillion VND (46.23 million USD), 30.2% higher than planned.

This year, the province has implemented solutions to attract both domestic and international tourists and taken measures to promote tourism and reopen tourism activities concertedly, safely, and flexibly in line with effective control of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It successfully organised an event to honor the art of ‘xoe’ dance of the Thai ethnic group, the Muong Lo Culture and Tourism Festival, an event on exploring Mu Cang Chai terraced fields - a national scenic spot, and the Cinnamon Festival in Van Yen district.

Other highlight events are the festival of worshiping Mau Thuong Ngan associated with the new Dong Cuong Temple New Rice Festival, the Dai Minh Pomelo Festival and exploring the national beauty of Thac Ba lake, ‘To day’ (wild peach blossom) flower festival, and "Coming to the land of gems" tour programme in Luc Yen district.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Huy Tuan personally presented support and gifts to workers facing hardships across Yen Bai Province.

On January 16, the Yen Bai Provincial Labor Federation organized the 2025 "Tet Sum Vay" program under the theme “Tet Sum Vay – Spring of Gratitude to the Party,” aiming to encourage, support, and care for union members and workers in Luc Yen District.

Luc Yen District presents the provincial decision recognizing Dong Quan Commune as meeting NTM standards for 2024.

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.
