Visiting teachers and students at the Ethnic Semi-Boarding Primary and Secondary Schools in Chau Que Thuong commune (Van Yen district) and the commune’s kindergarten, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Do Duc Duy asked the schools' staffs and teachers to continue thoroughly grasping the Party's guidelines and policies on the fundamental and comprehensive reform of education and training, effectively implementing patriotic emulation movements, with focus on the "Study and follow Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle" movement in association with such movements as "Teach well, learn well", "Innovation, creativity in management, teaching and learning", "Happy school" building, and "digital transformation school".

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.
