In September, the province recorded 241 newly established companies with total registered capital of more than 3.09 trillion VND (128.3 million USD), raising the number of firms here to 2,894 with combined capital of about 35 trillion VND. Besides, 66 new cooperatives were set up with charter capital totalling 115.2 billion VND.

Enterprises have contributed over 1.09 trillion VND to the state budget, accounting for 60.22% of the total budget revenue in Yen Bai, while creating stable jobs for more than 45,000 local residents whose monthly per capita income averages 5.8 - 7 million VND.

Extending greetings on the 18th Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Huy Tuan highly valued contributions by organisations, enterprises, and philanthropists both in and outside Yen Bai to the province.

He stressed that Yen Bai identified 2022 as the year of promoting digital transformation, which is an inevitable trend and also an important solution to foster the development of the local economy, society, and businesses.

Entrepreneurs should not be outsiders, he said, noting that people and businesses’ support for and use of digital platforms will become an important factor fueling administrations’ digital transformation.

The chairman asked all-level authorities, sectors, and localities to effectively carry out tasks and measures for improving the local business climate and competitiveness, step up digital transformation in tandem with comprehensive administrative reforms, proactively implement investment facilitation and business development policies, and frequently hold dialogues with companies to address difficulties facing their operation in a timely manner.

On this occasion, two collectives showing excellent performance in duty fulfillment and the patriotic emulation movement in 2021 were granted the Emulation Flag by the Government. Thirty enterprises, cooperatives, and business households received the certificates of merit from the provincial People’s Committee in recognition of their outstanding achievements in production and business activities in 2021 and 2022, as well as their contributions to local social security.
