Van Yen Cinnamon Festival 2022 to take place on October 14-15

YBO - The 4th Van Yen Cinnamon Festival 2022 will take place on October 14-15, with the theme of “Van Yen Cinnamon - Brand reaching far”.

This year's festival will have many special and attractive activities such as an incense offering ceremony at Thap Cai communal house in Vien Son commune and a parade with the participation of 555 artisans and residents of Van Yen district.

Within the framework of the festival, there are also an exhibition featuring cultures of the ethnic minority groups in the district, an exhibition of OCOP products and Van Yen cinnamon, an art photo exhibition, a symposium seeking ways to increase the value and brand of cinnamon, a contest on processing cinnamon products, and a beauty contest.

The festival is organised annually by Van Yen to promote the development of the value chain of cinnamon products. It creates an opportunity for the district in particular and Yen Bai province in general to promote the image and traditional cultural identities of the local ethnic groups and to preserve and increase the values of cultures, landscapes and relic sites to develop tourism.

These cultural assets have positioned Muong Lo – Nghia Lo as a sought-after destination for both domestic and international travelers, contributing to its growing prominence on the tourism map of Yen Bai province.
