Yen Bai, VNPT sign strategic cooperation agreement on digital transformation

YBO - Yen Bai province and Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) have held a working session and signed a strategic cooperation agreement on digital transformation in the 2022-2025 period, with a vision to 2030.

In 2014-2021, as a strategic partner in telecommunications - information technology, VNPT participated in the development of modern telecommunications infrastructure, effective application of information technology in many fields and carried out many social-security support activities in the province.

At the working session, VNPT General Director Huynh Quang Liem said that with the high determination of the whole political system, especially the awareness of the heads of Party committees and authorities at all levels, positive results have been achieved in digital transformation in Yen Bai province.
The group will note and deal with suggestions of agencies and localities, he said, adding that VNPT will accompany Yen Bai in the digital transformation process in line with the province’s conditions to ensure the highest efficiency.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Do Duc Duy emphasised that Yen Bai province will create favourable conditions for VNPT to assess the demand for digital transformation at agencies and support the implementation of solutions that have proven to be effective as well as ready to apply new technologies.

The official said he hoped that VNPT will continue to pay attention and mobilise the best resources to work together with the province in the digital transformation process on three pillars, namely digital administration, digital economy and digital society.

The group is expected to provide consultants to the locality relating to the overall solution of digital transformation and smart city development, build digital infrastructure, shared platforms, ensuring information security and cooperation in human resources training, he added.

The strategic cooperation agreement between Yen Bai province and VNPT on digital transformation in the 2022 – 2025 period, with a vision to 2030, includes ensuring the capacity of telecommunications and information technology infrastructure; building digital ecosystems such as infrastructure solutions, digital platforms; developing digital administration, digital economy and digital society; ensuring network information security and digital transformation in some priority fields.
