Editorial Board’s words: Throughout the past 120 years since its establishment (April 11, 1900 - April 11, 2020), the people of all ethnic groups in Yen Bai province have upheld the patriotic tradition in the struggle for national independence, protection and construction. On the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year of the Rat 2020, Yen Bai newspaper proudly introduces some images of Yen Bai homeland throughout the history.

On September 25, 1958, Yen Bai province is honoured to welcome Uncle Ho to visit and talk with ethnic groups in the province.



During the fierce resistance war against the US imperialists, Thac Ba hydropower plant is built, becoming the forerunner of Vietnam's hydropower sector.

By 2025, the mountainous district of Mu Cang Chai (MCC) aims to increase the percentage of its workforce with vocational training to 58%, focusing particularly on agriculture and tourism services.

As part of the implementation of the 2021–2025 National Target Programs (NTPs), Tran Yen District has disbursed over VND 70 billion as of the end of March 2025. Of this amount, nearly VND 56 billion came from the central government budget, while more than VND 13.5 billion was sourced from the local budget.
