The road to Ta Cua Y is said to be easy for trekking without high slopes, mainly along the stream bank, suitable for physical condition of most people. This destination is most beautiful around June-July because at this time, the rain decreases and the trees are green.
Visitors can go to the valley in the day or stay overnight there. They can directly rent tents for camping and order cooking service from porters, or bring those by themselves to the campsite.
Each tourist will need about 2 hours and 30 minutes for trekking from Thao Chua Chai village to Ta Cua Y valley.
Ngoc Ha, 32, from Hanoi, said she joined a 10-member group to trek Ta Cua Y valley for camping. The group departed from Hanoi at 8pm and arrived in Tu Le town, Mu Cang Chai district, at 3am of the next day.
They rested until 8 am, then moved to the foot of the mountain and rented motorbikes from local people for about 45 minutes, then started the trekking journey along the stream to the valley.
The group was supported by 10 porters who helped carry things, guide the way, ensuring that no one gets lost or left because of exhaustion.

A nature lover, Ha said she enjoys every moment during the trekking journey to the valley.
"The walk along the stream into the valley is very beautiful. I can see many species of flora. There are a lot of forest raspberry shrubs with ripe fruits,” Ha said.
The group set up camp next to a water source to easily wash food for cooking.
Their hot pot meal featured products from the forest, from cardamom, wild berries and raspberries and kinds of edible wild vegetables picked along streams.
"We found wild celery and many kinds of vegetables that locals say edible to cook the dinner", Ha said.
Ha said everyone who is about to join the trekking to Ta Cua Y valley should prepare a comfortable mind, a fully-charged mobile phone to capture amazing scenes and moments, and most importantly an attitude of respect for nature.
