Yen Bai youth carry out over 1,560 tasks in six months

YBO - In the first half of 2022, chapters of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) in Yen Bai province carried out more than 1,560 tasks as part of activities in celebration of all-level HCYU congresses.

In particular, they built and inaugurated 16 roads with total length of 15.5km, constructed and handed over 25 houses worth more than 1.2 billion VND (51,200 USD) to disadvantaged families, repaired and upgraded 8.1km of rural roads, and presented 470 million VND in financial aid for building three bridges in remote areas.

Among their voluntary activities, local young people also organised "Zero-dong shops” to help bring a merry Lunar New Year holiday to residents in mountainous areas, tree planting events in the Youth Month in March, and the summer youth volunteer campaign.
