Yen Bai women hold Happy Family Club exchange

YBO - The Women’s Union of Yen Bai province has coordinated with World Vision Vietnam to hold an exchange programme of the Happy Family Club model on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the Vietnamese Family Day (June 28).

Union members in nine district-level localities in the province performed nine plays about preventing child and consanguineous marriages, combating human trafficking, family planning, fighting domestic violence and child abuse, and building happy families.

On this occasion, the Women’s Union of Yen Bai worked with relevant departments, sectors, and World Vision Vietnam to organise a seminar to discuss measures for helping improve the happiness index and building happy families.

In the recent past, the union has fruitfully carried out several movements such as "Building prosperous, equal, progressive and happy families”, "Families of five no-s, three clean-s”, and "Exemplary grandparents and parents, virtuous descendants”. It has also set up sub-unions and clubs on building happy families and conciliation.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Huy Tuan personally presented support and gifts to workers facing hardships across Yen Bai Province.

On January 16, the Yen Bai Provincial Labor Federation organized the 2025 "Tet Sum Vay" program under the theme “Tet Sum Vay – Spring of Gratitude to the Party,” aiming to encourage, support, and care for union members and workers in Luc Yen District.

Luc Yen District presents the provincial decision recognizing Dong Quan Commune as meeting NTM standards for 2024.

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.

This period marks the end of the harvest season, allowing everyone to rest after a year of hard work. Nowadays, most Hmong people celebrate the Lunar New Year alongside the rest of the nation.
