Yen Bai Power Company launches “Families save electricity” programme

YBO - To encourage the practice of power saving for the sake of the community, the Yen Bai Power Company and the People’s Committee of Nghia Lo town have launched the “Families save electricity” programme 2022.

The programme aims to raise public awareness of efficient energy use and environmental protection, thereby helping form an electricity saving movement among the people of all social strata and age groups, mitigate climate change impacts, and boost green and sustainable development.

It will be implemented among some 5,600 households in four wards of Nghia Lo town from July to September this year. Prizes worth more than 80 million VND (3,400 USD) in total will be presented to the outstanding families in the programme.

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.
