Yen Bai: Various activities held in 2022 summer volunteer youth campaign

YBO - The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) in Yen Bai launched the summer volunteer youth campaign at an event held in De Xu Phinh commune, Mu Cang Chai district, which will run until August 2022.

The campaign will comprise a programme and four sub-campaigns with a focus on linkage among participating forces, areas and communities.

Under the campaign, Yen Bai youths are set to repair at least 30 km and build new 10 km of rural roads; build at least 10 new civilised streets; provide health check-ups and medicine as well as consultations on food safety and post-COVID conditions for about 6,000 people; and plant at least 50,000 new trees.

During the campaign, they will also assist with the repair and construction of 30 houses for the poor and for ethnic boarding schools; build at least 20 new latrines and repair 50 existing ones in local schools as well as 25 children’s playgrounds and participate in other activities.

Luc Yen District presents the provincial decision recognizing Dong Quan Commune as meeting NTM standards for 2024.

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.
