Yen Bai People’s Committee launches 2022 emulation movement

YBO - The People’s Committee of Yen Bai on April 14 held a conference to launch the patriotism emulation movement in 2022 and honour outstanding individuals and collectives.

Last year, the committee conducted an emulation movement that aimed to effectively implement the "dual targets” of preventing and controlling COVID-19 and boosting fast and sustainable socio-economic development at the same time, and a patriotism movement for the 2021-2025 period with the theme "Local residents, authorities of Yen Bai remain united, creative to boost fast, sustainable growth of Yen Bai towards green, harmonious manner with strong identity and happiness, determining to turn Yen Bai into a locality with relatively high growth in the northern mountainous region in 2025”.

In the year, the province also effectively implemented the emulation movements and campaigns launched by central agencies and the province across all fields, including the movements to join hands in building new-style rural areas and support the poor, as well as the movements of "Vietnamese enterprises integrate and develop”, "Officials and public servants of Yen Bai promote office culture in the 2019-2025 period” and "Yen Bai join hands with the whole country to fight and win COVID-19”, and "Building Yen Bai people of friendliness, humanity, solidarity, creativity and integration”.

Meanwhile, awarding activities have become more practical with focus on the grassroots level, labourers, and the honour of outstanding performance in difference areas as well as role models in emulation movements.

With the authorisation of the State President, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Do Duc Duy awards the Third-Class Independence Order to Duong Van Thong - former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

In 2022, Yen Bai’s patriotism emulation movement will be themed "Safely and flexibly adapting to and effectively controlling COVID-19; boosting socio-economic development, increasing investment, expanding infrastructure system towards green, harmonious and happy directions” to successfully realise criteria and tasks in line with Action Plan No. 56 of the provincial People’s Committee, striving to complete and exceed 32 socio-economic criteria set for the year.

On the occasion, the Emulation-Awarding Council of Yen Bai announced decisions and handed over awards to 121 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in patriotism emulation movements over the years.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Huy Tuan personally presented support and gifts to workers facing hardships across Yen Bai Province.

On January 16, the Yen Bai Provincial Labor Federation organized the 2025 "Tet Sum Vay" program under the theme “Tet Sum Vay – Spring of Gratitude to the Party,” aiming to encourage, support, and care for union members and workers in Luc Yen District.

Luc Yen District presents the provincial decision recognizing Dong Quan Commune as meeting NTM standards for 2024.

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.
